This role will assist FTD&amp;T product owners in determining the proper sources and processes for acquiring, enriching, and provisioning data required by Finance in the following major areas: Financial Reporting, Operational Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting and Advanced Analytics processes.The job’s focus will include the following activities:<ul><li>Analyze and document Finance process and system requirements</li><li>Define the functional design for data acquisition, enrichment, and provisioning</li><li>Partner with Finance stakeholders and Technology partners to design, build, test and deploy solutions to fulfill Finance process requirements</li><li>Test case and plan creation, execution, and coordination</li><li>Collaborate with product owners to implement data process controls and support ongoing process maintenance efforts</li></ul>How will you make an impact in this role?<ul><li>Finance process analysis </li><ul><li>Work with the Finance process owners and other teams to analyze and document their process requirements in terms of data, required transformations, and reporting/analytical output</li><li>Work with product owners to prioritize features and user stories for ongoing sprints and to manage a prioritized list of data requirements</li><li>Document processing requirements, including data and transaction volumes, scalability, security and performance requirements</li></ul><li>Solution Design </li><ul><li>Work with Technology, Finance partners, source system owners, and other stakeholders to locate the data required by Finance and ensure the data architecture design supports Finance’s reporting and analytics requirements</li><li>Identify required reference data needs and design the processes for collecting and maintaining reference data</li><li>Document future state Finance processes for data acquisition, enrichment, provisioning, and reporting</li></ul><li>Build/Deployment </li><ul><li>Work with Technology, Finance partners, source system owners, and other stakeholders to deploy solutions across the appropriate Finance user base</li><li>Build, test and deploy solutions to acquire, enrich and provision the required data and ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness</li><li>Perform data validation as part of Finance user testing as needed</li><li>Perform systems integration and pre-user acceptance testing</li></ul><li>Data Controls and Ongoing Production Support </li><ul><li>Work with product owners to design and build ongoing data process controls by collaborating with Technology and Data Governance as needed</li><li>Investigate data anomalies and research ad-hoc data inquiries as part of ongoing production support</li></ul></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in FinTech, Information or Data Management, Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with query tools (Hive/BigQuery)</li><li>Basic understanding of Agile methodology and delivery concepts</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to create impactful relationships with key stakeholders</li><li>Previous experience working closely with Technology teams to deploy systems to re-engineer processes and solve complex business problems</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated to the delivery of high-quality service to consistently exceeds customers’ expectations </li><li>Positive attitude and demonstrated strength as a quick learner</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Strong understanding of relational database concepts and experience working in a big data environment (Hadoop / Cornerstone).</li><li>Previous work experience in various Finance disciplines such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Treasury, Tax or Banking.</li><li>Understanding of the American Express businesses and processes at a high level.</li><li>Experience in membership rewards, co-brand products, and card benefits. </li></ul>Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
